My son has a study sheet to "fill in the blanks" every week in Social Studies. I always read the lesson from the chapter he's working on, to make sure he filled in more than one word answers (believe me, it happens every week!) :) I get so much out of reading those chapters! Right now he is learning about the wave of immigration that happened in America before the 1890's and after 1900. It's something I have to know about with my Dad's family line, as they immigrated to America from The Netherlands c.1870. I try to have my son "teach" me as much as he can about each chapter. He has no idea he's helping me as much as I'm helping him!
